Fall 2008 was the first time I tried my hand at planting bulbs and was so glad I did. I did daffodils (see above) and tulips (those haven't come up yet, so I wonder if this years winter was too tough on them but I hope not). It's a neat experience of delayed gratification. You plant this ugly bulb in the ground in fall, then forget about it. And just when you are so ready for spring and warm weather, you see the first buds of spring. I just love that. And that you only plant them once and they come back! Flowers and planting are good therapy for me.
These were precious gifts that I am enjoying inside now but will plant soon. I love hydrangeas!
And in the midst of all the other stuff going on in our lives, I have also been treasuring little things at home. Here are some of my most recent favorite moments.
Please note plumber butt in full effect.
The flowers are beautiful!! He is so precious!! I'll have to take pictures as soon as my flowers start blooming and put them on my blog too!! Planting/gardening is very good therapy!!
