Baby Dedication

Sorry it's a week late, but here are some picture from Parker's baby dedication. It was such a sweet time. In our church, baby dedication is not a baptism, but a time for the parents, family, and church to make a dedication to raise this child in the Lord. Our greatest prayer for Parker is that one day he will know God and make a personal decision to know Christ as Savior and Lord. As his parents, we will do everything we can to help raise Parker to know God. It's a very humbling experience being a parent, so we know we will require alot of grace and help along the way!

We had some wonderful family and friends attend the service and celebrate with us in our home afterwards. We are blessed to have a family of believers in Christ and for their influence in Parker's life.

At the church service...

With our Pastor

Our verse for Parker
"We prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted us what we have asked of him. So now we give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD. And we worship the LORD." 1 Samuel 1:27-28

He got his first little Bible from the church and we gave him this book from us, called the Legend of the Three Trees. It's a precious story if you want to read it...

And here are some other fun pictures from the weekend.
Karen, David, Chris, Tamyra and Peyton came and spent Saturday night with us. It was a joy to be around Peyton... she is such a sweet little girl and had grown so much since we'd seen her! She played really sweet with Parker.

Tate and Jon Walt came over after church for lunch as well and we tried to get a picture of all the kids. Peyton did not want to be on the sofa with the 3 boys (who can blame her) and this is what happened with that:

(you think we would know better by now!)

It was a great time and we are so blessed to have sweet Parker is our lives. We have prayed for him since before we knew him and pray he knows the amazing God we serve!
