Christmas 2010 - with the Fams

We had an awesome Christmas. We went to the Allen's house in Florence on Thursday, the night before Christmas Eve. David and Karen were there as well as Robbie's grandmother Mawmaw. We had LOTS of good food and fun times. We were excited to celebrate that Karen and David will be welcoming a little one into their family in August 2011! Along with Chris and Tamyra expecting their 2nd baby in July 2011, the Allens are a growing family!! Waking up on Christmas morning was so much fun! Parker woke up to a little treehouse with a slide. He was so excited and kept going down the slide over and over, smiling and cheering for himself. Gotta love that. He loved the wrapping paper and getting into everyone elses packages too, but mainly just wanted to push his trucks around and slide down his slide!

We also got to celebrate with my side of the family in Flotown. My sister Jennifer, Don, Harley, and Katie Aubrey were all up from Mobile so that was extra fun. And Rebekah and Roddy's house was rockin' as always with their crew. On Christmas Eve day, we baked and decorated cookies for Santa. Parker loved that. Although I don't think he was so much concerned with Santa as the cookies. Then we also celebrated on Christmas Day together, opening presents and just enjoying some time together. Of course it was bittersweet for us this year, wishing that Mills was there in the fun with us but I think we all were able to have joy at the same time. Both our granddads - PawPaw and Papaw - we missed this year too.

Cool thing this year.... it snowed on Christmas morning! And I mean it really did snow! We got several inches of a beautiful white snow that lasted for days. I can't remember the last time that happened, so that was an especially neat gift!
