Scary Friday

Last week Parker had a really tough time with his reflux and was not feeling so well. He was really having a hard time keeping much down and finally I called his doctor on Friday. We went in for a visit so they could check him out. They sent us to Huntsville Hospital Friday night for a sonogram to see if Parker had a condition common in baby boys called Pyloric Stenosis. Robbie and I both were nervous, but fortunately didn't have much time to let it sink in (the solution for this problem is surgery). We were SO glad to get the results back from our doctor before we left the hospital, giving us GOOD news. They were able to rule out that condition and prescribe some different medication for reflux, hoping this will help. He seems to be doing better, but still having some reflux issues. I have done a lot of reading online and gotten support from friends and family which has helped tremendously. Lots of babies are diagnosed with reflux (from mild to severe) and it can have a big effect on baby and the entire family. We just want our little Parker feeling well! So keep him in your prayers, and we will keep you posted on how he's doing.
